An unforgettable holiday paradise for your family surrounded by the South Tyrolean Dolomites and on the feet of one the most beautiful Alpine pastures of South Tyrol: the Rodengo Alps.
Our friendly and comfortable farm is embedded in the spectacular South Tyrolean Alps. It is situated in a sunny and quiet area and there is a breath taking view over the Isarco Valley and the Dolomites.
Our farm is the ideal starting point for mountain hikes in the untouched nature.
Our slogan is: come as a guest - leave as a friend. Relax and enjoy. Forget the stress - recover your energy!
Each season brings new adventures at the Galtiner farm: in spring the first sunrays stroke gently your skin and our meadows turn into a beautiful sea of flowers. Experience with us the wakening up of the nature! Even in our stable offspring from the animals can be expected: our nanny-goat Klara, the cats and the rabbits….. all gets really exciting when a calf is born! In the summer you can recover your mind and soul under the fruit trees while the children discover the playing grounds around the farm. In autumn you can enjoy an exciting excursion on the mountains with spectacular clear weather and you can finish off the day with the typical South Tyrolean "Törggelen", where you taste typical dishes, chestnuts and a glass of wine. In winter you can experience unlimited fun on the ski slopes of the surrounding ski areas (Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, Ratschings, Gitschberg/Jochtal, Plose, ecc.).
In the summer our young cows enjoy their "holidays" on the Alpine pastures of Rodengo. Our dairyman and maid Karl and Hermine take proper care of our cattle and are of great help with the harvest of the hay. This happens each year in July and maybe you feel like helping us. Depending on the weather conditions in September or October, the "homecoming of the cattle" takes place. At this occasion our animals are led from the mountain pastures and are decorated with prestigious bells. The major cow, decorated with flowers and the most beautiful bell, leads the group. Our dairyman distributes some local snacks, the "Minggelen" and liquor to the spectators. After five hours we await our dairy people and animals at the farm. Maybe once you're lucky enough to take part to this event.
A farm holiday at the Galtiner farm is not only a synonym of farm traditions, attachment to nature and warm hospitality, but it is also an opportunity to get to know our animals and our traditional Tyrolean food. Children can have a lot of fun on our playgrounds while the parents relax on the lawn.
There is also a barbecue possibility where you can enjoy staying together.
Personal care of our guests is very important to us.
Robert and Hildegard with their four children together with grandpa Ernst and grandma Berta manage the farm.
Our own and homemade products will cheer up your holiday:
fresh milk from our barn (also goat milk upon request), fresh eggs from our hen house maybe found by your own children, our farm butter made from the best part of our milk, our typical South Tyrolean "speck" - roasted ham, potatoes, meat, herbs, spices and lettuce from our farm garden.
We have renovated our farmhouse in 2006/2007. Now we are renting 3 new, sunny and large holiday apartments with balcony. We have furnished these apartments with a lot of wood and natural materials as well as with a lot of care for the details. In this way you can enjoy the flair of the countryside without renouncing the maximum comfort.

A children's paradise
We welcome all the children to our farm "Galtinerhof"
Miaow……baa……… moo, we're waiting for you!
Stop with being bored. Children love animals, woods and meadows! The kids can act out their fantasies. Watching the animals very closely, tractor rides and playing in the outdoors will be unforgettable experiences.
Our German shepherd Wolfi is very fond of children and likes playing with them. Our goat Klara is looking forward to get some fresh grass and caresses. Our cats Tigerle and Minzi will accompany you and they like it to play hide-and-seek. Even our rabbits are awaiting your visit and they hope to get some delicious food from you!
You're welcome to have a look at our stable while we are working and if you wish you could also try it yourself. Have you ever tried fresh milked milk? Or have you ever had the opportunity to watch the birth of a calf?
Also searching for eggs in our hen nest is very exciting. They feel very warm and taste delicious!
Our four children are always looking forward for new friends to play with and they will show you the best hiding places on the farm.
Maybe you will become friends with them on our fantastic playing ground. There you will find a swing, a rocking horse, a sandpit, a slide and a playing house. For the older kids there is the possibility to play table tennis, table football, darts and basketball.
Since spring 2008 there is also a trampoline to amuse you...
There are also some party games and card games at your disposal. In our small but fine library you will find books for babies, children and teenagers. You will also find some painting utensils.
